Bioinformatics is a relatively recent field of study and research, representing the combined power of life sciences and information technology. SIAS is the only institute offering this novel academic programme under the University of Calicut.

 
SIAS, affiliated to the University of Calicut, is currently offering MSc Bioinformatics
 
Eligibility: Candidates with Bachelor’s Degree under 10+2+3 pattern of education in Bioinformatics, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Life Sciences, Botany, Biophysics, Zoology, Chemistry, B.Sc. Agriculture, B.VSc, B.Sc. Forestry, B.Sc. Fisheries, B.Sc. Horticulture, B.Pharm, B.E/B.Tech. in Industrial Biotechnology with at least 55% marks from a recognized Indian or foreign university are eligible for admission. Candidates for admission will be selected on the basis of the results of the entrance tests conducted by Calicut University (50% seats) and subsequently by SIAS (50% - Management seats)
