In parallel with the academic programmes a strong team of researchers is engaged in pursuing advanced research at SIAS. The campus with its advanced facilities and serene atmosphere is an ideal center for intellectual stimulation in scientific pursuits.

PROGRAMS
The research programs are currently centered on the field of molecular endocrinology with emphasis on the molecular basis of estrogen action in hormone target cells. This is so in view of the expertise of the current Director who has more than 30 years of research experience in this field. A detailed programme is being envisaged to provide special attention to the transcription factor, estrogen receptor activation factor (E-RAF) through in-depth structural and functional studies on this protein .It is anticipated that during the next 3-5 years a group of trained scientists will be able to provide their attention to this fascinating area of research.

LAB FACILITIES
Research facilities are being created, through submission of detailed proposals to national funding agencies.
